In cooperation and funding from the European Union, Misr El Kheir organizes a round table on “Civil Society and Just Energy Transition” within the framework of the activities of the “Sustainable Empowerment” project.

The table witnessed the presence of Dr. Saber Othman, Assistant Minister of Local Development and Environment for Sustainability and Social Responsibility Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Mamdouh Abdullah, Head of the NGO Development Sector at the Misr Al Khair Foundation, and Mr. Mahmoud Kamal, Director of the Civil Society Partnerships Support Department at the Misr El Kheir Foundation, with the participation of representatives of government agencies, civil society organizations, the private sector, universities, research centers, and experts specialized in energy and climate.
The table also witnessed a presentation entitled “Energy Transition and Cooperation Opportunities,” presented by Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, a certified consultant and expert in environmental engineering and sustainability.
In conjunction with the commemoration of World Humanitarian Day, the table affirms that a just energy transition is a humanitarian and development issue, aiming to build more resilient societies and ensure their access to sustainable and fair energy solutions, while placing the needs of the most affected groups at the heart of the transformation process.
